International Day of Thanks & Commitment Sunday with Potluck—November 20th

 

 

Join us for a day of thanksgiving and commitment., followed by an international potluck in the gym.  Please bring a special dish associated with your family’s heritage.  Be sure to fill out a place card with the name of your dish and the country it is from.

Project Turkey Leg

The next three Sundays (10/23, 10/30, and 11/6) the Youth Group will be offering gourmet coffee, other hot drinks and baked goods to help support Project Turkey leg (feeding 100 families for Thanksgiving).  These items will be available for a donation towards the project.  We will be in the foyer before Sunday School and before the main service.

What is Project Turkey Leg?

The AFCC Youth Group is partnering with
My Safe Harbor & the Strong Families Institute
to feed 100 families in our neighborhood for Thanksgiving.
Here’s How
  • We’ll be organizing a food drive
  • Collecting Money & Food Donations
  • Preparing boxes of food for distribution
  • Giving the collected goods to pre-selected families on November 19th

Fall Festival

Anaheim Fall Festival Oct. 29

It is time to dress up, play some games and have fun with our community at the Anaheim Fall Festival. The festival will be held on October 29th from 11-6. Please sign up to work one of our booths for a two hour block.  Please see Kristi McCardell after service for sign-ups and details. We could also use a lot of candy!! A box will be in the foyer to receive candy.

Join us! DeDe Soto of The Soto Law Group will be speaking with us about guardianship for our children.  How to choose the right guardian and avoid the 6 most common mistakes parents tend to make when naming a guardian.  Breakfast will be served!

Children’s Clothing & Toy Exchange

 

Date: Saturday October 15th        Time: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

This event is designed to trade up your toys and children’s clothing (items in good condition only please). For each item you bring you will get a ticket and you can use those tickets to shop for anything you would like. Refreshments provided!
